The PPC Live crew marked its 3rd birthday in style, packing out its 17th event with game-changing talks, community love, career breakthroughs โ€” and pizza that absolutely delivered. ๐Ÿ•โœจ

The PPC Live community came out again for a 17th time to celebrate hitting a great milestone of 3 years. There were great talks, amazing opportunities and the pizza slapped!!! ๐Ÿ˜

Let’s see first how the speakers and community felt about it.

Feedback

Speaker Jรฉrรฉmy Courty was grateful to be taken out of his comfort zone.

  • “๐—”๐—ฝ๐—ฝ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐—ถ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐—ฝ๐—ผ๐˜€๐˜

The nerves have finally calmed down and the journey back to Cambridge last night gave me time to reflect.

I like comfort, and I like being behind my laptop at home with my own thoughts.

So giving a talk in front of 50 lovely PPC people was at the bottom of the list – and it’s been there for years.

Only because I didn’t think I could do it.

    Until last night…

It may have not been perfect, it may have not been groundbreaking for some but it was my view, my opinion, and our collective agency response to some of the challenges we’ve seen within the PPC space lately.

The lovely Anu Adegbola, mMBA really helped in bringing those nerves down and created a safe space with PPC Live to have open and honest conversations.

And it doesn’t matter if you have 10 years experience, reality is that the landscape is changing every. single. day. and you need to keep up.

Listening to Ayisha Yousef and Paul Salame really gave me a different perspective on how they utilise Paid Search and how they see the channel evolving.

    So… more to come ๐Ÿ˜‰”

The talk Paul Salame gave encouraged him to give even more talks following the great reception to his talk on how to make Google Ads incremental:

  • “Had a great time at PPC Live yesterday speaking about how to make Google Ads spend more incremental as well as using Pmax and product data as a tool to help achieve your business goals.

I have spoken to a lot of e-commerce brands this year about their Google Ads and the amount of spend going to waste in ad accounts is quite concerning. This is what prompted me to focus on this topic in particular.

It was also really encouraging to receive such great feedback following my talk, especially as speaking at events is something I am trying to push a lot more for this year.

Iโ€™m keen to speak at more events this year so if there are any which you think my expertise could make a valuable contribution to please get in touch with me!”

Past sponsors and continued supporter House of Performance sent a fab team and they loved it, and will be back:

  • “Huge thank you to Anu Adegbola, mMBA for another great PPC Live! An evening filled with great talks, great people and of course great pizza!

Looking forward to the next one!”

We had a Manchester based Paid Search Executive, Alina Pleskane of TrunkBBI join us and she feels these are the events that reminds her why she loves working in Paid Media:

  • “Yesterday, I had the chance to travel down to London with my amazing PPC team (๐Ÿ’ป Jack Fletcher and Robert Cable) from TrunkBBI to attend PPC Live โ€” and wow, what an event!

From deep dives into Google Ads’ hidden search terms (and the impact they quietly have on media spend ๐Ÿคซ ) to e-commerce strategies that can make or break a campaign โ€” every session delivered real, actionable value.

Events like this remind me why I love working in paid media โ€” there’s always something new to learn, test, and improve โ€” and thatโ€™s what makes it so exciting looking forward.

Massive thanks to the speakers and organisers for such an insightful day!

๐Ÿ’ฌ If you were there too, Iโ€™d love to hear your key takeaways.

๐Ÿ“ˆ And if you work in PPC or digital, whatโ€™s one recent insight thatโ€™s changed how you think about campaign performance?”

Morgan Peacock of House of Performance had to share her great experience of the valuable tips shared:

  • Yesterday, I attended PPC Live where we listened to some great speakers discussing topics such as โ€˜Driving Real Business Groth With Google Adsโ€™, despite Google making it hard for us advertisers! & listened to valuable tips on how to crack PMax and Stanard Shopping campaigns for ecomm clients.

I want to say a big thank you to the wonderful Anu Adegbola, mMBA who brought us all together and hosted a great event and bring on the next!๐Ÿง๐Ÿ™Œ”

PPC Manager and ex-Googler Hardip Sandhu enjoyed the brilliant evening and loved reconnecting with past colleagues:

  • Last night PPC Live was another brilliant evening of PPC strategy, food, drinks and connecting with the UKโ€™s Paid Search community.

    The speaker lineโ€‘up was fantastic:
โ–ช๏ธ Paul S. unpacked highโ€‘impact Google Ads tactics.
โ–ช๏ธ Jรฉrรฉmy Courty shared advanced Performance Max tips.
โ–ช๏ธAyisha Yousef delivered an outstanding session titled โ€œQ4 Starts Now: PPC Tips for Peak Shopping Successโ€, focusing on audience strategies, feed setup and ad creatives designed for strong conversions.

It was such a pleasure to reconnect with both Inderpaul Rai, my former manager at MG OMD and Ayisha, my ex-colleague from Mindshare, who also spoke at the event. Seeing the paths weโ€™ve all taken in the industry made the evening feel particularly special.

Hereโ€™s to PPC know-how, career milestones and unexpected reconnections. Already looking forward to the next one!.

CEO and co-Founder of Paapi, Dan Hesmondhalgh, a first timer enjoyed the talks and the international attendance:

  • Fantastic event at PPC Live last night.

I’m late to the party here but not being a practioner myself this was a crash course in the realities of the day to day challenges, strategies, and innovations in navigating the dizzying speed of change in this industry.

It started with Collin Slattery sharing insights into his research on Google’s practice of bucketing reporting on 30-60% of search terms for reasons of ‘privacy’ (hint – this might also happen to be in their commercial interest ๐Ÿค” )

Then there were excellent talks from Ayisha Yousef Paul Salame and Jรฉrรฉmy Courty .

So much great detail, but some simple high-level takeaways:
    – Get all your BFCM campaign assets sorted by Halloween! ๐Ÿ‘ป
    – Make sure you’re splitting your reporting by campaign type ๐Ÿ’ก
    – The increasing importance of feeding PMax with 1st party data ๐Ÿค–

Thanks Anu Adegbola, mMBA for putting on such a great event, and congrats on this being the 17th edition!”

And another North of England representative, Ritika Sharma joined us from Birmingham and loved finally meeting some of the best in the industry and loved the great talks and atmosphere:

  • “Just got back from PPC Live in London and honestlyโ€ฆ what a great event!

Massive thanks to Anu Adegbola, mMBA for organising the whole thing โ€” from the insightful talks to the great crowd and welcoming atmosphere throughout.

It was great to finally meet Serge Nguele in person โ€” Iโ€™d previously caught his talk on Bing at HeroConf, so it was nice to reconnect!

Thanks to Collin Slattery for sharing your insights on hidden search terms.

I didnโ€™t manage to catch all the talks live, but Iโ€™ll definitely be watching the recordings. Huge thanks to all the speakers for sharing their knowledge โ€” Paul S., Jรฉrรฉmy Courty, and Ayisha Yousef.

Had some really interesting conversations. Iโ€™m walking away with fresh ideas and new connections. Already excited for the next one!”

A word from our founder

Finally there was an overwhelming feeling of joy and gratitude that I had from this fantastic event.

  • Oh what a night!!!

In many positive, challenging, hilarious, delicous, face-palm, celebratory, pizza eating, drink drinking and cake eating ways….OH WHAT A PPC Live NIGHT!! ๐Ÿฅฐ ๐Ÿฅฐ ๐Ÿ˜‚

With each event we put on, the PPC community continue to show ME how much of an AWESOME bunch they are.

Even after waiting over half an hour for the event to start due to TV needing to get off the wall issues (๐Ÿ˜‚) – we had one of the best events we’ve ever had the privilege to put together.

Instead of it being right at the end we, switched the agenda up and started with the charming New Yorker Collin Slattery sharing his amazing insights about the reasearch him and his team did on hidden search terms.

Our fantatstic hosts, Tug Agency and brilliant videographer got the TV working again (๐Ÿ˜…) – so we had the privilege of listening to 3 great talks from Paul Salame, Jรฉrรฉmy Courty AND Ayisha Yousef.

To further lift the spirits of everyone, Ayisha had the brilliant idea of doing a Kahoots game to ensure everyone was listening to the very useful stats she was sharing about what to expect in the Q4 season!

Our wonderful audience were in their element, gathering together in teams and collaborating with people they had only met a few hours earlier.

    OH my heart was full!”

After what has been a stressful few months, as I tell anyone who asks me why I do it – it’s because of every single one of the comments you see above and the pictures. I come out of my solo office at home and I am surrounded by smiling faces of people enjoying themselves and building on their career.

Personally, I have started my PPC Mindset coaching business, so if you want to reach the stage of going after what you want in your career and knowing how to achieve it, get in touch.

Regardless, we hope to see you at future PPC Live events – check out when the next one is below. ๐Ÿ˜‰
