Jyll has been a great support of founder, Anu, for years. With a decade of PPC experience spanning Google, coaching, speaking, and community-building, she is passionate about helping practitioners sharpen their skills, grow their careers, and stay connected in an ever-changing industry.
How long have you been working in PPC?
10 years
If you went to college, what did you study? If not college, do you have any other degrees or certifications?
Tufts University, double majored in Psychology & Child Development. Then Harvard Business School for my MBA
What was your first job that involved PPC?
Google! I started as an International Growth Consultant as part of the Large Customer Sales team at Google in 2015
What kinds of things do you currently handle or manage in PPC?
“As a Google Ads Coach, I advise business owners, marketers, agencies and freelancers of all levels to improve their campaigns, their strategies and their skills. In a single day, I could walk a small business owner through setting up their very first Search campaign, and then guide the Head of Paid Search at an agency through solving their toughest client challenge.
Part of being a coach means I love teaching, so I also teach workshops and webinars for private clients, speak at conferences like Hero Conf and SMX Advanced, write for publications like Search Engine Land and Wordstream, host the weekly Inside Google Ads podcast, and post every day on LinkedIn.
What are you most proud of in your PPC career?
I’m most proud of helping PPC practitioners advance in their careers, and find new jobs. I founded PPC Zone, a free online event, in 2022 to elevate new perspectives and insights in our industry.
I was actually inspired by PPC Live!
And since then, some of my newbie speakers have gone on to speak on international stages, write for top publications, and land new jobs as a result of their participation. That’s immensely rewarding, using my platform and my influence to elevate my peers.
If you could give advice to someone either considering or just starting out in PPC, what would that be?
Stay humble, stay curious, focus on the fundamentals
Will we see you speaking at any conferecnes or webinars? Please list them below.
“I am speaking at HeroConf San Diego on September 23, 2025 about Advanced Audience Targeting, and then my SMX Master Class “Google Ads Beyond Search” returns on October 9, 2025 (you can get 15% off with code JyllVIP).
I am also leading a free LinkedIn webinar with Dana DiTomaso’s Kick Point Playbook on September 16, 2025 called “Google Ads Targeting: What You Need To Know in 2025”.
The next PPC Zone event is on October 1, 2025 on LinkedIn & YouTube.
Last but not least, I lead a free 1-hour meeting every month exclusively for my Inside Google Ads course members – some of our recent guest experts include Kirk Williams, Sophie Fell, Julie Friedman Bacchini and Cory Henke.
Why are communities like PPC Live important for the industry?
The work we do as PPC practitioners is complicated, and it’s constantly changing. It can also be very isolating, as many of us work alone, either as solopreneurs, or as the single “Google Ads person” within a company. Communities like PPC Live allow us to share our knowledge, learn from each other, and build meaningful professional and personal relationships.
Where can people find you to connect (Twitter, LinkedIn, Threads, etc.)?
LinkedIn and YouTube are the best social platforms for me.
Then of course my free bi-weekly The Insider newsletter & free weekly Inside Google Ads podcast.
